The Delhi Food Awards, conducted by Delhi Food Walks, is a city-wide celebration of the people who make Delhi’s street food culture iconic.
The awards honour street food vendors who keep traditional flavours alive while encouraging high standards of quality and fresh ideas. They also recognise women vendors and veteran food makers, promoting inclusivity and respect across the food community.
Alongside this, the platform brings together food experts and content creators to spark meaningful conversations on food trends and help take Delhi’s street food stories to a wider audience, making the Delhi Food Awards a landmark event for the city’s culinary culture.
Founder and CEO, Delhi Food Walks
The Delhi Food Awards has been conceptualised and conducted by Anubhav Sapra, one of India’s pioneering voices in street food documentation and culinary storytelling. Through his extensive work with Delhi Food Walks, he has spent over a decade documenting regional food cultures, preserving traditional food knowledge and bringing attention to the people behind India’s diverse culinary landscape.
Driven by a vision to recognise the unsung heroes of Delhi’s food scene, the Delhi Food Awards was created as a platform to celebrate the vendors, artisans and legacy food makers who have shaped the capital’s rich street food culture across generations.
Under his leadership, the Delhi Food Awards recently concluded its successful 4th edition, continuing its mission of spotlighting authenticity, diversity, craftsmanship and culinary heritage. The platform has steadily evolved into an important cultural initiative that not only honours iconic food vendors but also documents and amplifies the stories that define Delhi’s ever-evolving food identity.
